Power Badminton Academy

Power Badminton Academy offers badminton coaching classes to all beginners and amateurs of the game. In order to fulfill the main objecive of the academy that is to produce young talents in badminton, the coaching classes focuses on young badminton players with age range between 3- 18 years old. With the presence of experienced badminton coaches in the coaching team of the academy, Power Badminton Academy is comitted to take up the challenge to produce new badminton stars. This academy acts as a foundation for the Kedah Badminton Association (KBA) because players with great potential will be promoted or given a chance to train in the state team under the supervision of state coaches. This is to ensure that players having potential are given the right guidance and continous attention. The opportunity to participate in state competitions will give our players the chance to develop their game and to gain exposure. This brightens their chances to be accepted into the Bukit Jalil Sports School (BJSS) and into the national team (BAM). 

 

This badminton academy is founded by Mr.A.B.Naidu, a former state player with a number of state titles to his belt. Mr. A. B. Naidu is the chief coach in the badminton academy. Most of the training sessions are conducted by him under the assitance of young coaches. The academy started its operations in June 2008, by offering badminton coaching to five young badminton players. Since then, the population of players in the academy has risen by leaps and bounds. At present the academy has more than hundred students in total -  consisting of different age groups and level of play. 

 

At present, all the coaching classes take place in Kulim. However plans are being drafted to expand its wings in different parts of the Kedah and Perak state. New updates will be notified in Power Badminton Academy's official Facebook page and website.
